Fatsam's Catering, “When Ordinary Just Won't Do”
Growing up in Louisiana‘s rich food tradition, the seeds for the food service industry
were planted early within me, owner/Chef James Meadors. My mother, Mary, a
professional cook, renowned and revered throughout most of Louisiana,
has a
tremendous passion for food and family. She trained me in food preparation
and taught me the finer points of food presentation and Southern hospitality. When
deciding on a name for the company, I thought back on my childhood, remembering
the great food my mother prepared and remembering how often my friends invited
themselves to eat at “Mr. Fatsam's” house. Mr. FatSam is my father's “nick name”
which is kind of misleading since he is tall and thin!
Thus, the name “Fatsam's Catering was chosen.
FatSam's represents great food,
hospitality and family and friends.
